Between the Villa Lumière and the Hangar du Premier-Film, the Village is the headquarters for the public and festival guests. In the middle of Lumière Park, it offers outdoor spaces for all from 10:30am to 9pm: A DVD market (over 5,000 films), a cinema bookstore (over 450 references), a boutique, a beer bar, a restaurant, live music, the set of Radio Lumière, a Photobox, and – new this year! – a virtual reality space.

You’ll find the festival daily newspaper every morning, a selection of French and international press reviews on the cinema, a ticketing office and information on the screenings of the day.

DVD Market

With its 5,000 references, the Lumière festival DVD market is the largest video collection in all of France! Including 20 genre categories, the “Wong Kar-wai video club,” the films on the program line-up, new titles and rare films… The market will satisfy casual movie fans and grand connoisseurs alike, with a selection appealing to all ages. A cinema event not to be missed!

Cinema Bookshop

Restaurant

This year, Serge Magner Catering invites Marc Boissieux, head chef of restaurant L’inattendu (Lyon 6th) and the winner of the Masterchef program in 2013, to compose his instinctive and creative cuisine.
