Film music: Giorgio Moroder


It is impossible not to recognize the innumerable famous tracks of this pioneering electronic music composer, celebrated by Daft Punk. Lumière will screen the rare 1984 version of Metropolis (with Moroder’s colorization and sound) and classic Midnight Express.

At the airport in Turkey, Bill is arrested with two kilos of hashish. He is eventually sentenced to 30 years in the harsh, violent Sagmalcilar prison... Moroder's outstanding music, for which he won an Oscar, greatly contributed to the longevity of this cult film.

2026. Due to conflict between city planners and the working class, a resistance is taking shape... Lang's work, in this colorized version and with sound by Moroder, created controversy upon its release.
